Biography

Rebecca latest work was on a feature film, “Walk of Shame.” Due out in theaters in 2014, the film stars: Elizabeth Banks and James Marsden. Her previous feature “The Invincible Scripture”, with Michael Shannon and George Cheung, won the “2010 Big Kahuna Award”, at The Honolulu International Film Festival. She has a long list of Film Shorts and garnered her first acting award on the stage playing the crazy Mrs. Winemiller in Tennessee Williams’ Eccentricities of a Nightingale. She enjoyed a stint with the “Open At The Top” theater company at the NoHo Arts Center, playing the roles of Mary in Jerusalem and Lady Henslowe in the acclaimed Elizabeth Rex. It was during that time that she took an interest in writing, with the “Open At The Top” company performing one of her comedic scripts. Rebecca and her daughter Katie are now in collaboration on a half-hour comedy script for television, and she has two other scripts in early development stages.

Like many Californians, Rebecca is a transplant. Having grown up on the East Coast, she moved to Denver shortly after marrying. She and her family moved to Los Angeles when her youngest daughter Katie took an interest in acting. Katie later graduated from USC’s School of Theater and is now an actress, living with her husband Jake, their young daughter, Isabelle and toddler son, Sam, in the LA area. Rebecca’s oldest daughter Liza is an attorney, living in the Detroit area with her husband Greg and their two young sons. Rebecca now lives with her very supportive husband Bob, in the San Fernando Valley.

Spending time with family, interior design (she holds a degree in design and space planning), travel, oil painting, gourmet cooking, gardening and entertaining friends are just a few of her pastimes. She loves old black and white movies, as well as music from the 60’s and 70’s. When she is not studying and pursuing her acting craft, she may frequently be found in the kitchen with her husband, cooking and rocking to the oldies.
